Allergy-Friendly

Allergy-friendly everything.

At Enjoy Life, we work every day to make great tasting food people with the most common food allergies can love. We put a “free from” label on every package so you know what ingredients we don’t use, but would normally be found in that product. For example, you can count on our delicious chocolate chip cookies to be free from wheat and other cereals containing gluten, milk, tree nuts, peanuts, soya, egg and sesame seeds.

Across all the products we make, we stay away from the ingredients that cause most food allergies: wheat and other cereals containing gluten, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, fish, shell fish, crustaceans, sesame seeds, mustard and soya.Little Girl Eating Cookie

But forfeiting some ingredients doesn’t mean we forfeit the taste or texture you crave! We get creative with our ingredients to bring you foods that are safe and delicious. In addition to rice products, we use nutrient- and flavour-rich grain alternatives such as quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat and sorghum flour. Instead of eggs, we use a combination of baking powder, flax and applesauce. We use non-hydrogenated, trans fat-free safflower oil. For sweeteners, we use a combination of fruit juices and honey or brown cane sugar. We also bake with rosemary extract and a fruit juice/grain dextrin mixture to lock-in freshness and extend shelf life.

To us, being allergy-friendly doesn’t mean giving up our favorite foods. It just means we put a little extra thought and love into creating them safely, especially for people with the most common food allergies.
